A service that facilitates VAT claims and refunds to our customers. We remove the stress and anxiety by facilitating vat refunds from start to payment. When you buy a vehicle from a South African dealership, the dealership will raise a vat inclusive invoice, however the VAT portion is claimable after completion of the export process.
VAT (Value-Added-Tax) is an indirect tax on the consumption of goods and services in the economy. Revenue is raised by government by requiring certain traders (vendors), that carry on an enterprise, to register for VAT.
The dealership must charge VAT on vehicles sold by it. The vehicles sold by dealerships are
taxed which means that VAT is charged at the standard rate (currently 15%). Under no circumstances may a dealership raise a zero-rate invoice because they are not licensed exporters, and they are not able to supply the compliance documents required.
AVAAT facilitates vat refunds to foreign customers and remove the logistics stress away from both the dealership and customer.
